These new houses on Manchester Road past the bridge over the Peak Forest Canal are part of Moorfield Place built on the site of the former Automasters Engineering Works.
See how they looked under construction in
August 2013.

ReplyDeleteThe row of houses stands out rather nicely.
ReplyDeleteThey are nicely done!! Boom, Bobbi and Gary.
ReplyDeleteWonderful houses!
ReplyDeleteI wish I knew more about architecture. My first thought was 'they look good as houses'. Then I wished they had more of a local atmosphere. There are similar new-builds where I live. Then I thought about the gables and the round-top windows at the end - and the door with the lintel instead of a porch. Maybe these are influence by building traditions in the area? But that bright red brick gets everywhere.
ReplyDeleteHyde sems to be changing by the day.
ReplyDeleteThey do look a lot nicer without all the scaffolding!
