A large Southport cabbage from Uncle Walter's stall on Hyde Market costs 80p.
I posted a recent photo (taken last Saturday) of Uncle Walter's stall
yesterday. This photographer was taken about six weeks ago but I've kept it till now.

Definitely a large Cabbage. i love shopping at the open air markets. Nothing like fresh vegetables.
ReplyDeleteMarkets are far more healthy, after all, than grocery store fare.
ReplyDeleteLooking at that cabbage makes me want to make some borsch!
ReplyDeleteNice looking produce, - the cabbage would make great quantities of cabbage rolls - or borsch if you prefer, but shouldn't that be red cabbage?
ReplyDeleteLove cabbages especially in my noodles and salads

ReplyDeleteThat's a huge cabbage!
ReplyDeleteI "C" some Carrots too. :)
Cabbage is such a great vegetable. It stores so well and lasts so long. I like it in salads, slaws, soups, and baked with other vegetables. So versatile. - Margy
ReplyDeleteI haven't had cabbage for ages - must make a coleslaw!
