Moon over Garside Street

The moon is visible over Garside Street whilst the bright afternoon sun glows in the windows of the houses on Dowson Road.

I zoomed in on the moon and you see a closer shot in colour on Hyde DP Xtra and in black&white on Ackworth born, gone West.

For Skywatch Friday.

  2. I misread your title as "Moon over Bourbon Street", but I guess there isn't any vampires stalking the streets of Hyde.

    Like the warm colours!

  3. hello gerald - eileen from bolton here.
this photo reminds me of many things from years gone by as mentioned in previous posts. it also reminds me of my cousin lynne whose first house was on this row of houses on dowson road. brother john and i walked past here two weeks ago on the pennine trail. the terraced houses hide the fact that hyde has many open areas of beautiful walks - like werneth low, the peak forrest canal, the river, gower hey woods ect..where we spent our childhood. we never went on holiday - we didn't need to!
