Sunday Bridges: Dowson Road at sunset

Last week I showed you the sunset through Knott Fold bridge.

In this week's shot you can see Knott Fold bridge and the same sunset from Dowson Road bridge.

The last time I showed you Dowson Road bridge I was highlighting its Christmas Day puddle. It hasn't receded.

Right now it's probably iced over and covered with an inch of snow. I won't be going down to find out.

  1. Wonderful shot, Gerald. Just lovely ...
the streaming shattering light ... the bridge, the meandering pathway, the people in clusters ...

    Bravo, sir!

  2. good idea not to go out when it is iced over.

  3. Great light, Gerald - very nice shot.

  4. Well done...looks like a watercolor!

  6. Yeek. Looks like a tough puddle to cross, but at least it makes for a lovely sunset reflection.

And that's a nice bridge you got there, too.

  7. I don't think it's possible to take a bad shot of this bridge Gerald, it really is in such an appealing location! I like it just as much as I did last week, the people walking underneath add extra interest. Beautiful image!

  8. What a lovely misty image, Gerald!

Belatedly, «Louis» thanks you for this fine contribution to Sunday Bridges.
