Weekend Reflections: Summer Downpour on Dowson Road
After a few days of warm sunshine the weather has turned again bringing cool strong winds and a series of short sharp showers and thunderstorms.
I'd escaped the storms on my shopping trip but as I got off the bus opposite the Shell filling station on Dowson road the rain came suddenly down like bullets bouncing off the road.
In the wet road was the reflection of the tree outside the garage.

Not my favorite way to find a reflection but you made the best of it. I hope you didn't get too wet.
ReplyDeleteBelieve it or not, but I have not seen rain since such a long time here that I'm glad to look at your picture!
ReplyDeleteWhat a downpour!
ReplyDeleteReflections in puddles - they look nice but not nice to be out in that sudden downpour.

Good timing, or bad! Do you always have your camera with you?
ReplyDeleteGood timing, good shot, I just hope your camera stayed dry.
ReplyDeleteThis looks like a scene from my current wintry world in Australia!
ReplyDeleteGerald, thank you for taking the time to comment on the dilemma the lady in Oak Park is facing regarding growing vegetables in her front garden. Politicians should remove their blinders and turn their attention to things of greater concern.
ReplyDeleteIf I didn't know this was England, I would have thought this was a lot closer to home in Australia. It looks a lot like the Shell petrol station on the Pacific Highway near Heathcote in Sydney!
