Shadows at Knott Fold

The white-faced cottages date back to the 18th century when they would have been surrounded by green fields. Now they are part of the modern housing estate based around Grosvenor Road.

A contribution to Shadow Shot Sunday.

  1. The white building actually blends in with the other homes, in spite of the difference in colour. They all give character to the street.

  6. So charming! Would have loved to have seen them back THEN though! That pesky progress. :-)

  7. Houses like this seem stranded. Being absorbed into a wider neighbourhood may be no bad thing - but the proximity of the road must have brought about an even greater change in atmosphere.
