ABC Wednesday: Z is for Zaynab's


Zaynab's Indian takeaway on Market Street was previously known as the "Royal Tandoori". These days it has an online ordering service.

The "Sweat Shop" next door used to belong to veteran Hyde athlete Ron Hill but he sold the business some years ago.

    I used buy Ron Hill Running Shoes with I think a waffle sole for running trails before trail running became the big business it is today. The shoes were made in UK to Ron's design and they were very reasonably priced shoes "without the bells baubles and bangles" of international brands. I am still running at 66 but sadly my favourite shoes are no longer available.
