Last week I showed you the resurfacing work at the Market Street end of
Dowson Road.
Here is how it looked from where the road was closed at other side of Dowson Road.
More photos of the work can be seen on
Hyde DP Xtra.

Roadwork seems to be endless around here. The red roadblock adds life to your photo. Kate, ABC Team

Don't get me started on roadworks around Leicestershire - Hinckley seems to be marooned at the moment! Great street photography btw!
ReplyDeleteYou've got them too....! Great idea for today.
ReplyDeleteroadworks... always a nuisance!
ReplyDeletehello gerald, nice photo that brings back memories... it's a long time since i've walked this way. used to walk to leigh street secondery school and back every day from cheetham fold road from 1962-1966. if i remember rightly there are two bungalows just out of shot on the left. one of the art teachers used to live there. when i left school i used to walk behind the bungalows to go to work at ashton brothers. the path was very, very narrow looking down into the vally below. not good on dark winter days!
ReplyDeleteI think the path you refer to is probably this one that leads to Church View.
DeleteSeems like it's about time to get the project finished with bad weather coming on. Roadwork is just a fact of life in good weather though.
ReplyDeleteIt only lasted about four and a half days - I've some "after" photos to show you at a later date.
DeleteThat's an interesting road block sign.
ReplyDeleteAwesome shot, the second ramp I see so far in this week's R.
