As I posted a year ago, the building on the corner of Milk Street and Water Street was once the
The Nag's Head.
Now it has opened as a decoratoring supplies store and has enlisted the help of Lord Kitchener with its advertising.
See
Hyde DP Xtra for a wider view.
A contribution to
signs, signs.
What a difference from the other photo!
ReplyDeleteA very artistic presentation of the sign! And some interesting "arty" palettes there too!
ReplyDeleteI would have been very sad to see the demise of The Old Nag's Head but this is a lovely picture. Isn't that Lord Kitchener pointing his finger at us or am I mistaken?
ReplyDeleteThe Nags Head lost its licence in 1906 - over a century ago - and indeed it is Lord Kitchener - hence the title of the post.
