Shadows behind the lights of a teapot
As I showed you yesterday the Christmas lights have been switched on.
Beforehand there was entertainment on the Civic Square including some fairground rides. On the left is the children's roundabout that has been a permanent fixture here for a century. On the right is the back of a small "skyrider" ride. In the middle is a "teapot-carousel" with the children riding in huge teacups.
It was hard to photograph as attached to the "teapot" were some strong lights that created artefacts. They did however also produce some excellent shadows.
A contribution to Shadow Shot Sunday.

Wonderful, colorful shadow shot for the day, Gerald!! Thanks for sharing! Hope you're enjoying a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteNight shadows always cast so much mystery in a scene. Delightful street scene.
ReplyDeleteThought that was a tricky shot.
ReplyDeleteI love night shadows! Who knew there were teacups whirling outside of Disney?
ReplyDeleteThis is great, we don't have anything like that here.
ReplyDeleteThe teapot dominates in a slightly surreal and Wonderland-ish kind of way. Thought is was a giant football trophy when the picture first came up.
ReplyDeleteAlways loved taking my life in my hands aboard the the 'teacups' at Disney.
ReplyDeleteReally beautiful I love the flare! :-)
