Umbrella on the Trans Pennine Trail
When I was out the other week photographing first the blue sky over Swains Valley and then the flooded duckboards in Gower Hey Woods, followed by the steps out of the woods and before I recorded the clouds over the Trans Pennine Trail I discovered this umbrella stuck into the ground under the Dowson Road bridge. Knott Fold bridge can be seen in the distance.

There's a story as to why it's stuck there, of course...
ReplyDeleteIt makes for a fascinating pic!
Great image, an umbrella wouldn't last very long over here today though. The wind is horrendous!
ReplyDeleteSimultaneously beautiful and grim.
ReplyDeleteOne wonders what the story is behind this!
ReplyDeleteWhatever the story, «Louis» thanks you for linking it with Sunday Bridges.
