Between Pound bakery and the entrance to the toilets in Clarendon Square Shopping Centre is the Money Shop pawnbrokers. It is one of several such businesses that have opened up in Hyde and almost every other town in the UK over recent years.
In 2010 the shop was Dr Herbs and in 2006 it was Beijing Herbs. Before that it had been an opticians.

And this one looks, at least from the outside, to be more of a money shop than a pawn shop. Not a good thing to have in a retail area.
ReplyDeleteI remember once going into a pawnshop, and finding a CD for a couple of bucks that listed on Amazon for more than fifty. The shopkeepers had no idea about that particular genre.
You seldom find such type of business here. Nice yellow touch.
