Shadow Shot Sunday: Memorial Garden for Fiona Bone and Nicola Hughes
Last September I showed you the double rainbow that appeared over Hyde on the evening of the day that PCs Nicola Hughes and Fiona Bone were gunned down in Mottram.
I showed you also the tributes to Fiona and Nicola that were laid at the scene.
Today's photo shows the memorial garden which was opened outside Hyde Police Station on 13th December 2012.
Take a closer look at the memorial garden on Hyde DP Xtra.
A contribution to Shadow Shot Sunday.

Thoughtful construction of this special place! A feeling of sanctuary is created by the wall around the area! And the light and shadow add some bonus beautiful atmosphere!
ReplyDeleteYes, I like the lines in this composition ! It's quite intricate and there's a lot to see !
ReplyDeleteThis memorial looks comforting, like a home for someone. The loss of persons important to many, yet here is a homey place, somewhere to grieve yet feel a kinship of sorts with the constables who face danger to protect the populace - really all of us. The slight comfort to loss is the warm feeling here. A beautiful and fitting ytribute...
