Cyclists on the Trans Pennine Trail

Two cyclists on the National Cyclist Network Route #62 approach Stockport Road bridge and the turn off to Osborne Road.

This section is along the line of the former Apethorn to Godley Junction railway.

Following persistant wet weather, the bridlepath on the left, part of the Trans Pennine trail, is like a quagmire and filled with deep puddles that reflect the winter trees.

For The Weekend in Black and White, Sunday Bridges at San Francisco Bay Daily Photo and Weekend Reflections.

  3. It would have been fascinating to see how the old railway line was (with a train on it of course), but these cyclist will do very nicely.

PS It seems you have got the rain and we have got the sun :-)

  7. Thought it was an old canal with the water in it. Looks good in B&W

  8. An exciting variation of tones and textures! And the dark shapes of the figures seem to give it all a focus!

  9. Did you see the programme (Wednseday, BBC2) about the walk you can do along along the old Weymouth to Portland line?

  11. I love the perspective in this shot and way it portrays a journey. I was wondering if maybe you would like to link it into my meme, The Human Condition.
