Signs at the end of Wavereley Road

At the end of Waverley Road there is a "Give Way" sign. Dowson Road is marked with the word "Slow" just before the "Double Bend" sign. A notice on the Give Way sign warns dog owners that fouling carries a fine of up to £1000. The signs are manufactured by the Altrincham firm "Forest City".

A contribution to signs, signs.

  2. We have similar "Give Way" signs but our road shape signs are different.

  3. We thought that signs in England were much more polite than the ones we have over here. (We liked that!)

  5. Sometimes they plonk the signs in exactly the wrong spot too, like just before an intersection so that if you're turning you have to edge forward to see if anything is coming. So many signs there's no excuses to get anything wrong these days!!

  6. "Give way" does sound nicer than "YIELD!"

  7. The dog sign is not very obvious to dog walkers.

  9. I like the Give Way sign. It is easier to understand than Yield.
