Shadows and Blossom

Last Sunday was a splendid day of sunshine creating some strong shadows. These were along the footpath that links the two ends of Clark Way. On the left are some car repair yards. On the right beyond the fence that the blossom is climbing over is the M67 motorway.

You can see the original photographs from my walk last Sunday on the Geo-trip website: check out the slideshow option.

For more shadow shots visit Hey Harriet.

  1. Gorgeous shadow shot for the day, Gerald! Such a beautiful flowering tree and wonderful sunshine! Hope you have a great weekend!

  2. The fallen blossoms litter the sidewalk like flakes of snow...

Some say that shadows are fragments of light,
Others that they are but pieces of night,
Fleeing like demons when dawn becomes day,
Fearing the radiance coming their way.
Is one notion wrong and one notion right?
Just what are shadows if they are not light?
