This was the pavement on Dowson Road last Friday. Although the main road had been gritted and traffic was flowing, the pavement consisted of slippery slush which would turn into deadly ice once the temperature dropped.

scenes like this are where I live too!
ReplyDeleteA very common scene here.
ReplyDeletethat looks all too familiar in ALB! except we have more snow...

That's a lot of snow, Gerald... haven't had a single flake on the floor here this winter.
ReplyDeleteLooks like as many dogs as people had been walking in that slush. Such a great "slice of life" scene!
ReplyDeleteHappy Wednesday!

A good time to get home and stay there!
ReplyDeleteAlthough snow was forecast here it came in further south (and to you). The Lakeland fells have a covering so we have the prettiness without the inconvenience.
ReplyDeleteHi Gerald, I hope you were careful. Either that or put on some ice skates.
ReplyDeleteSo much snow-slush, looks really nice (well, coming from someone living in a warm climate). I'd hate for it to turn into slippery ice though -- that part I hate.
ReplyDeleteI fell once on ice in NYC that looked a lot like that!
ReplyDeleteI'd much rather drive or walk in snow than the icy stuff.
