ABC Wednesday:C is for the Charred remains of former Care home Charlotte House
Charlotte House, the former care home on Albert Road caught fire in the early hours of the 16th December 2010. The home was in the process of being closed down and only a few residents were still living there. They all escaped safely. The building has now been put up for sale by auction and is due to go under the hammer next week. See how it looked four years ago in our post from May 2011.

I'm surprised they didn't bring the building down.

I'm glad the residents all made it out safely.
ReplyDeleteOh yes, back in the day....I can imagine it was quite the place, and if those walls could talk, what a story they would share.
ReplyDeleteIt will be interesting to see how it might look four years from now...
ReplyDeleteGood that everyone escapes the fire but I hope they fit it up.
ReplyDeleteWhat a shame they plan to tear it down. It's a neat old building.
ReplyDeleteSometimes fences have to be put up for unfortunate reasons.
