God's Garden
The Methodists' theme for the 2014 Gee Cross Well Dressing is based on a verse from Dorothy Frances Gurney's poem "God's Garden".
"The kiss of the sun for pardon,
The song of the birds for mirth,
One is nearer God's Heart in a garden
Than anywhere else on Earth."
Dorothy Frances Gurney "God's Garden" lines 13-16
(London, Country Life, 1913)
