Looks well worn for a relatively new one. I love looking for these postboxes and have found some interesting Victorian ones and even an Edward VII one.
I had my very first trip to England in June. I did notice the red postal boxes and the red phone booths, though one of those had a defibrillator in it & not a phone.
I used to live just across from this postbox......there used to be a bench just to the left of it where the pavement moves inwards. Looks an old box so it would probably be the one from my youth.
This one's seen a lot of years!
ReplyDeleteI like the way the shape is repeated by the door on the right.
ReplyDeleteA great shot, i would also try to b&w and with the mailbox in red.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous old mailbox so beautifully weathered. A timeless icon.
ReplyDeleteAn old and classic one. Ours here are in orange.

ReplyDeleteI imagine this has been the starting point for many a letter over the decades!
ReplyDeleteit's fabulous! So glad to see it is still standing and hasn't been replaced with an ugly new design!
