More of Market Street is being resurfaced again. This section is by the junction with Union Street which has been closed off.
There is single lane traffic controlled by traffic lights and the delays are considerable.
If you look closely where the old tarmac has been gouged out you can see the former tramlines that have been buried.

Two weeks? We have those kind of signs up for two years (or more) down here. Things move slower in the south.
ReplyDeleteIt's always fun to see the old tram lines uncovered - they did our road last year and it was the same thing with wonderful cobbles between the tracks.

ReplyDeleteThey're doing work on (and under) some of our streets at the moment... that kind of grading the surface I'm quite familiar with.
ReplyDeleteYour road crews need to come over here and show our folks how to get it done quicker! Two weeks would be a major miracle!
