Bridge repairs off Canal Street
Workmen on the top of a scissor-platform are doing work on the railway viaduct carrying the Rose Hill (Marple) to Manchester (Piccadilly) line over Great Norbury Street, Manchester Road, the M67 and Dukinfield Road. This section accessed from Canal Street is between Manchester Road and the motorway. I assume they are probably pointing the stonework.

I have the idea thats not the bridge that needs reparation but the fill in as you know what I mean. The bridge look to me as something build for eternity.
ReplyDeleteWow!
ReplyDeletePointing in that weather? Looks quite cold.
At least they are repairing it rather than replacing it with a modern structure. I like the stonework.
ReplyDeleteExcellent capture, Gerald.
