Even flightradar24.com don't always get it right - I once posted a photograph of a Thomson Airways Boeing 787 Dreamliner coming over Hyde to land at Manchester Airport on which flightradar24.com said was a flight from Cancun to East Midlands Airport.
It's not easy to photograph an aircraft in flight; I know because I've had to try numerous times to do the same thing when they fly over our house. I did manage to get a really special one of Northwest years ago that I used to have as my banner. Now gone just as the airline disappeared into Delta. Perhaps I shouldn't add this, but I still feel chilled when I see this kind of photo because it reminds me of the horrible days of 9/11.
