Something new in Market Place

Back in July I posted a photograph of the end of the Market Place that had had its paving stones and street furniture removed revealing the cobblestones beneath and I said Watch this space.

Well here it is revealed - yet another flower-planter.

A contribution to Our World Tuesday.

  1. Well, I'm sure it will beautiful in the spring. Too bad they didn't use the old cobblestones in the construction.

  2. All will depend on whether they will be able to maintain the planter. (It's a bit funereal, isn't it?) Large stone planters have been removed from where I live - a pedestrian obstruction.

  3. It looks like a cemetery plot with black marble. Pity the council or whoever did it didn't use the old cobblestones which would have been more in keeping with the surroundings. Maybe some budding artists will cover it with street art.

  4. Let's hope the council haven't run out of money and will be delighting the residents with copious flower displays throughout the year.
