Following up on my shot from last Friday here is how it looked a few days ago.
It turns out that the space is going to be used by another large flower-planter similar to the two on the other side of the Civic Square as the Market Ground is now called.
Instead of proper benches folk will be able to sit on the reflective mock-marble edges.

Oh no what a shame they couldn't have incorporated the old cobblestones into the design Gerald..makes you wonder what else is covered up around there..
