Friday Fences: Roadworks on Market Street
Market Street is disturbed by roadworks again. This photograph was taken a couple of weeks ago before I went on holiday to Blackpool. Then the disruption was confined to the pavements.
The work is still ongoing and is now affecting the junction with Union Street and causing traffic jams.
Take a look at the uncovered pipes and cables on Hyde DP Xtra.
A contribution to Friday Fences.

those types of fences remind me of children's toys. :)
ReplyDeleteFeels a bit like a Puzzle.
ReplyDeletePlease have a good Friday ahead.
These are really vivid colorful fence barricades. Over here in this country the best we can come up with is plain old yellow. I love seeing the little British towns when I looks at your posts. They bring back so many happy memories. genie
ReplyDeletei agree they really look like toys - a game even. ( :
ReplyDeleteAfter the roadworks are finished the pens could be left to corral children while their parents shop?
ReplyDeleteLovely street. There's nothing quite like the main street in an English country town. I have a series of wonderful ceramic shops on my mantlepiece at home. I love them.
ReplyDeleteit can be a pain but it has to get done sometime right?!
ReplyDeleteVery colorful and will catch the attention of motorist! They do look a little like some our the childrens outdoors playthings.
ReplyDeleteWhat a charming street! It will certainly look even better after the work is done and the barriers are removed.
