The Weekend in Black & White: Pole Bank Pond

A view across Pole Bank Pond towards the benches on the opposite side.

See a closer view of one of the benches on last Sunday's shadow shot.

Check out an old view of the pond on Old Hyde.

Read something of its history and see four more photographs of the pond on Hyde DP Xtra.

A contribution to The Weekend in Black and White and Scenic Weekends.

  9. Good shot of mature gardens...If you click on Geralds 'Hyde DP Xtra' link and then onto 'Lilactoad/youtube' link a historical black and white photo of the pond comes up straight away. You'll notice that the large fir tree which is dead centre of Geralds photo is visable as a small 3ft. shrub in the historical photo. This then begs the question to any horticulturists out there when was the original photograph taken?
