Horses by the Foxholes Oak

Two horses are on the bridlepath section of the Trans Pennine Trail underneath the oak tree at Foxholes. A third horse is on the grass by the side of what is now a section of the National Cycle Route #62 from Southport and Liverpool to Hull and Hornsea.

Originally this was the Godley Junction to Apethorn Railway line used once by steam trains transporting freight from the Yorkshire coalfields to Fiddler's Ferry power station on the river Mersey.

See the horses a little further down the trail on Hyde DP Xtra.

A contribution to Camera Critters.

  1. From horses to steam - and back again. That gives room for thought.
