ABC Wednesday: I is for Ink & Indian Cuisine

In 2010 this used to be the "Garlic" but that moved into the space above the entrance to Clarendon Mall and is still there.

It briefly became "The Bay Leaf" before finding life as the Bengal Spice.

By March 2011 it had changed to the Jaipur which had previously operated from premises at the bottom end of Market Street.

A few months later the Jaipur moved again to premises on Market Street formerly occupied by "Clove" - see my post of 17th May 2012.

It was then that the sign for the Bengal Spice re-appeared here.

Now, however, the sign has been removed again and the premises re-opened as "Maha Indian Cuisine". As yet they don't have a neon sign up.

Next door, meanwhile, the premises, formerly occupied by an equestrian suppliers, are now a tattoo parlour operating under the name "Northern Ink".

A contribution to ABC Wednesday.
