ABC Wednesday: P is for Post Office

Mottram Post Office, like the vast majority of UK post offices, is located in a convenience store.

On the opposite side of the road, the former public house, The Junction, has been converted into residential property.

Previously the post office in Mottram was located in a seventeenth century farmhouse on Back Lane.

For ABC Wednesday.

  1. Maybe that's what we need to do in the US: put the P.O.s in the 7-11s.

  3. With and interesting shape - with a lot of money - it might be turned into an unusual dwelling.

  4. In my country we have postoffices in shops too. At least in small places like ours. Only if we want to cash money we have to do so at a cashpoint or go to another town, which is a nuisance for elderly people. Thanks for your post! Have a great day!
