The Weekend in Black & White: Flannagan's Conversion.

Flannagans of Hyde on the corner of Mottram Road and John Shepley Street started out in the 1860s as the Moulders Arms.

A couple of weeks ago I noticed that it had had all its signage removed. There was a board outside advertising a "Spiritualist" meeting and I thought the pub was being converted into a church.

The conversion is now complete - see what it looks like now on Hyde DP Xtra.

A contribution to The Weekend in Black and White.

  1. It looks a bit run-down in this photo. I find the corner cut-out rather interesting,

  3. There is something so eerie, so unloved about an abandoned building! The removal of signs, leaving only the ghost of their outlines adds to the eerie drama!
