ABC Wednesday: L is for Lumn Road Triangle

At the junction with Norman Street and Tom Shepley Street, Lumn Road opens up around a triangle. There used to be three trees but now there are only two.

  5. There doesn't look like there's enough room for a third tree Gerald, maybe it was getting a bit crowded.

  7. The name "Lumn" refers to a chimney - see http://oldhyde.blogspot.co.uk/2009/10/lumn.html There is a photo of the triangle from the opposite direction in 1980 showing three trees at http://hydonian.blogspot.co.uk/2010/08/lumn-road-grass-triangle.html
