The cobbled path leading out of Gower Hey Woods towards Osborne Road. In the mid-19th century this was a busy road sett leading to an industrial complex in the valley but none of that now remains.

Such a romance in these old cobbled walkways! This is like an invitation to step into some old beautiful painting!
ReplyDeleteRomance indeed! And such a wonderful capture and great composition, Gerald! Hope your weekend is going well!

What a romantic spot to go for a walk with your someone special. It is beautiful. It must be a glorious spot when all the vines and trees are green. This is a stunning picture. genie
ReplyDeleteThe black-and-white view is haunting, a path leading into or out of the dark woods or into daylight. The monochrome has such an evocative feeling, and many eras have passed by and it looks cool...
ReplyDeleteNot only is it cobbled, but it is also shadowed! So inviting!

I can't help but think about all the feet (and hooves) that have passed over these cobblestones. Lovely!
ReplyDeleteSure is lovely, Gerald.
ReplyDeleteLooks very evocative in black and white....
ReplyDeleteExcellent choice. I love it in B&W.
ReplyDeleteFabulous shot Gerald, not only the cobblestones, but the lovely low brick walls. I like your perspective, leading to what might be around that bend in the road.
ReplyDeleteStone path, stone walls, dappled light. A very pleasing image.
