Shadow Shot Sunday: Godley Station

The bench and shelter on the Manchester bound platform at Godley Station had just been painted and was possibly still wet. I didn't test it. Meanwhile the fence posts cast shadows across the platform.

  1. what a beautiful shade of blue for the Godley Station platform. whenever I see a wet paint sign I do feel the need to test it for dryness! and nice shadows too. this is a nice perspective. happy SSS to you.

  2. A great blue shade for a railway station and a lovely soft fall of shadows from the fence!

  3. No train in sight. Did you have a long wait?

    IF I HAD A SHADOW

    If I had a shadow as big as the sky,
    I never would fear, and I’ll tell you why:

    My shadow would save me from dragons and things
    That fly in the night with terrible wings;

    My shadow would keep me away from the beast
    That sniffs in the west and sniffs in the east

    Hungry for children who play all alone,
    Hoping to feast upon blood, upon bone;

    My shadow would be my protector and knight
    To keep fear at bay, to banish all fright.

    I’m so glad my shadow is always nearby,
    Though it’s not nearly as big as the sky!

  5. Very nice. No matter how mundane, train travel always has a sense of adventure.
