More reflections and shadows at Captain Clarke's Bridge

A look today through Captain Clarke's bridge on the Peak Forest Canal. It is more often seen from the opposite direction showing its more photogenic side.

Who, you might ask, as people do, was Captain Clarke? Find out on Old Hyde.

    SING A SONG OF SHADOWS

    Sing a song of shadows
    Taller than a tree!
    Sing a song of shadows
    Wider than the sea!
    Sing a song of shadows
    Dancing in the sun!
    Sing a song of shadows—
    Day is almost done!

  2. Without modern accouterments such as power boats and cars, the canal feels old, from a far different era. I can almost imagine the mules and/or horses pulling a small barge alongside the waterway. Very nice!
