It may have changed now into a Chinese takeaway but there has always been a takeway or chippy at 49 Dowson Road.

    Simplicity change as do so many other things. I would have preferred Mrs. Bells menu.

    I used to buy a bag of chips from here to eat on my walk home from piano lessons on Thornley Street. Way back in early '70's!!
