This sign is at the entrance to Gower Hey Wood from Balmoral Avenue. Underneath is a notice made by pupils of the nearby Dowson Primary School which reads "We like dogs but we don't like their mess". Below that is a request not to leave litter.
Now hang on a minute; this is the UK not the USA; guns here are illegal anyway, so why the need to specifically ban them here?

'no tipping'? Does that mean dumping trash? in the US, tipping means giving money for a service, such as to waiter after a meal.

Oh dear! And it looks like it would be such a lovely walk for the dogs. If only people would clean up their dogs' messes, there'd be no need for signs like this. Have a great week,

I really like that homemade looking sign for the dog walk... We always pick up after Molly...wish everyone did.
ReplyDeletePerhaps they bought a 'job lot' of signs from the U.S. going cheap?!!

I'm having trouble with the "no tipping"
ReplyDeleteHow interesting a sign. Maybe a few people were hunting.
ReplyDeletePlease have a good Wednesday.
I'm with the hunting notion too, they do fox hunt in England don't they??
ReplyDeleteMaybe cow tipping isn't welcome there - an interesting sign...leads to all sorts of thoughts. :) Nice post!
ReplyDeleteInteresting sign, not only are firearms mostly illegal, but if the police see you with one you are seriously likely to be taken out by them and I do not mean for a burger and a beer.
ReplyDeleteI wonder what is in the fourth line that have been covered up, just "NO"!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely a bit random 'no firearms' unless they have a particular problem with armed robbers in this area..!
