this is the bridge that brother tom s...hello gerald<br />this is the bridge that brother tom shined across from the outside of the bridge to write his name when he was in his youth. easy peasy some might say but this was when we had steam trains coming along both ways. it's a wonder he didn't fall into a coal waggon, he would have been on a free trip to stockport! <br />this tree reminds me of mr & mrs cookson, the elderly couple who lived in the wooden bungalow between the tree and the bridge - i used to go on errands on hyde lane for them. i walked around the area a few weeks ago and could make out some of the trees and plants from their garden. <br />eileen from bolton Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
