Presumably yellow is used in some places for the same reason. At one time GPO telephone vans were dark green and it was suspected that this was the the reason they were involved in a relatively high number of accidents. A survey was carried out which determined that the safest colour for a road vehicle was yellow, which resulted in the fleet of GPO vans being re-painted that colour.Dave Williamsnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2940226192800721137.post-42185585334770681862011-05-02T01:03:18.881+01:002011-05-02T01:03:18.881+01:00The paint is looking a bit faded on this one, so i...The paint is looking a bit faded on this one, so it must get a fair bit of sun on it all the time.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10349828855153546542noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2940226192800721137.post-66629141484469115402011-05-01T16:14:54.657+01:002011-05-01T16:14:54.657+01:00I notice most mailboxes are either red or yellow, ...I notice most mailboxes are either red or yellow, do you know why?AntiguaDailyPhoto.Comhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07263149457523439437noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2940226192800721137.post-84047835543558600262011-05-01T15:35:23.976+01:002011-05-01T15:35:23.976+01:00Nice!
